The Seniors Dance Program is an unprecedented initiative for social inclusion in Brazil's elderly public through the dance. Sponsored by Schroders Investment Management Brasil, the program will work the practical application concepts of the Elderly in activities that promote well-being and health, always light and pleasant, as the appreciation of an artistic performance should be.
Developed by Via Gutenberg and the São Paul Dance Company, which with only two years of existence is already considered one of the best dance companies in the country, the pilot program will take place from August 2010 - with dance workshops and training for professionals - indicated by pre selected Social Organizations - that are used to work with elderly.
Professionals and seniors program participants may also participate on closed rehearsals and performances of the São Paulo Dance Company at the Sérgio Cardoso Theater in Sao Paulo. The program will count also with recorded project experiences on Social Organizations, and a final presentation of the elderly in a great ballroom.

São Paulo Dance Company (SPDC)
Established in January 2008 by the State Government of São Paulo, SPCD is a repertory company, that is, his repertoire ranges from artistic dance choreography reference to unpublished choreographies created for your dance body.
The dance diffusion - production and shows circulation - is the core of its business. In two years of existence, the company already has in its repertoire four new choreographies and four pieces of reference. The activities are completed with educational acts, audience formation and systematic activities of recording and dance memory.
